[photo-3d] Re: Rusty TDC 116
Harold,
If you want to stop rust for good, try a product called POR-15
(www.por15.com) it's made for use on cars, and I've used it on my
car, and it does stop rust from reoccuring, I've used it on the
bottom inside of very rusty doors that are subject to a lot of water
when driving in the rain, snow and salt covered roads, didn't even
topcoat it and there is no sign of rust after a more than a year
where other product that I've used that are supposed to stop rust
show signs of re rusting after only a couple of months. It is very
tough stuff. It ain't cheap though, $20 a pint. I would suggest their
starter kit for $14. a little goes a long way. I use the semi gloss
as it gives a very smooth finish to topcoat. I'm new to 3D so I've
nerver seen the TDC 116 and don't really have an idea of what needs
to be painted, but if you want to stop rust this is the stuff. Hope
this helps
Robert
