Perhaps this question belongs on the Medium Format list
(or has already been answered there) but since the moderators
of said list refuse to accept me I'll post it here and hope
for the best. (Perhaps someone will be kind enugh to cross-post
it for me.)

I have seen references to changes in the Sputnik design &
specifications (to quote Marco Pauck
(http://www.pauck.de/marco/photo/stereo/sputnik/sputnik.html):
"The original version of the Sputnik is equipped with a T-22
4.5/75mm lens. The later Sputnik II has a T-35 4/75mm lens.
The earlier models have shutter speeds of 1/10 to 1/100 sec.
Later models as well as the Sputnik II have 1/15 to 1/125 sec.")

Has anyone documented when (preferably by serial number) these
changes were introduced? I have in front of me a Spud (serial
number 083225) with the T22 lenses & 1/100 top speed. With the
recent flood of Spuds on the market (especially e-bay), this
information could prove very useful in establishing how desirable
any given sample would be.

So how about it? Who will (or has) document(ed) the Sputnik as
Dr. T has the Realist?
