Welcome to photo-3d Paul!

There hasn't been a better time for Stereo than today.

Many different stereo cameras available. Stereo cameras
from the 50s use available 35mm film (much improved
and many choices available today) and are still clicking.
New stereo cameras are available (at higher prices mostly).

A strong trend towards stereo prints, aided by digital
& computer technological improvements. Lot of action
in the slide film area too.

I started with a Stereo Realist 12 years ago, knowing
next to nothing about photography. Have been shooting
stereo for all 12 years with no end in sight.

I recommend a Realist or Kodak stereo for starters.
You must find a lab to print the "Realist format"
negatives. Kodak will still mount stereo slides.
Estimate about $100 for a stereo camera. You already
have the print viewer. A cheap slide viewer is $3.

I am sure others will add to this. My one liner:

"Just do it!"

Feel free to browse around my web page. There is
some information about the Stereo Realist there and
also a short Tutorial on Stereo photography.

Enjoy!
