Then they should be perfect on screen too, assuming
that there is nothing really wrong with the projector.

Try focusing each side individually.  One lens should
be screwed all the way in.  The other can vary to match
the focusing (I forget which is which... experiment!)

So, turn only one lamp on and focus this side with
the main focusing knob.  Turn the other lamp on only
and then focus the other lens by turning it in its
socket.  The turn both lamps one and align the
image vertically (no vertical errors) and horizontally
(mount frames match on screen).  You should be all
set.
