I checked and found for Rollman 1853 (Poggendorffs Annalen der
Physik und Chemie) and for d'Almeida 1858 (Compt. Rendu).
This is closer to your figures than "towards the end of the
19th century".
Indeed, quoting from memory is risky :-) (I probably was
biased by the fact that Ducos Du Hauron in 1891 / 1894
patented anaglyph printing).
