Below is a 1st draft of a 'Top 10' list of 'user' 35 mm stereo cameras
manufactured in the period between the late 1940s and early 1970s.

What is the best 'user' stereo camera of this period?

Which cameras should be include on such a list?

The 1st draft list is:

1 Belplasca with f 3.5 Ziess Jena Tessar lenses
2 Verascope F40 or Busch Verascope F40 (USA Market) with f 3.5 Berthiot Flor
lenses
3 Stereo Realist Custom 1050 with f 2.8 Realist (rare earth Steinheil)
lenses
4 Stereo Realist Model ST42 with f 2.8 Kodak Ektar lenses
5 Wollensak with f 2.7 Wollensak Amaton
6 Stereo Realist Model ST42 (1042) with f 2.8 David White 'German' or f 2.8
David White lenses
7 Revere 33 with f 3.5 Wollensak Amaton lenses
8 Iloca Rapid (f 2.8) with f 2.8 Steinheil Cassarit lenses
9 Stereo Realist Model ST41 (1041) with f 3.5 David White 'German', f 3.5
David White or Ilex Paragon lenses lenses
10 Kodak Stereo with f 3.5 Kodak Anstron lenses

Is the Belplasca better than the Verascope F40 and Realist Custom?

Mechanically the F40 is probably a far better camera than the Belplasca,
however many say the Belplasca has far better lenses. Is this true?

Should the T D C Vivid, T D C Colorist 1 & 2, Iloca Stereo II or some of
the Wirgin Edixa models be on a Top 10 list?

The Contura was not included as so few were made that it is unlikely that
anyone is using this museum piece to actually take stereo pictures.
