[photo-3d] More Realist Prints

Most labs may refuse Realist prints based on the perception that you
want the images to fill the frame. What I'm saying is, after their knee
jerk reaction of " no we cannot" you must politely say " that's OK" just
center the chip into the carrier and hit the print button. They will
counter by telling you about the image overlap. Respond the same way "
that's OK". You see, the lab will not understand why you want these
overlapped images. They may feel you will stick them with the job and
not accept the prints. That's why a sample pair, or a sample uncut 4X6
image is so helpful. I'd hardly consider this " custom" work, but if you
cannot explain this in simple easy terms........I can understand how
many labs would rather turn down the job. And don't ask the lab to cut
your images! Do it yourself. I'm sure every town has a few 1 hour labs,
and it is very likely that someone will accept the job. After the first
attempt, and realizing how easy this is, the lab will graciously invite
you back anytime. I would offer to print anyone's 5p images to
4x4's...but I honestly believe it is unnecessary to have to mail your
film out. Crawl first, don't run......if you plop 5 rolls on the
counter, and return with your Viewmagic and begin pairing up the images
on their counter, then ask to use their paper cutter....well....I can
see why your going to have a hard time in the future. :-) :-)
