Thanks to Dave Williams for sharing his experiences printing Realist
negs.......Dave and I seem to share the same view that printing Realist
negs is not rocket science. I will agree that MANY one hour labs will
not want to deviate from " cookie-cutter" jobs, and are not willing to
learn new things. However, anyone with some experience can easily make
the required density and color adjustments in a few minutes. A custom
mask ( although very helpful) is not required. Print experience is all
that is required. If your prints are disturbing to view, the color
(and/or density is probably off more than 1/3 stop). I have 3-4 steady
stereo customers that are in heaven! I charge a very low set-up fee and
a standard reprint charge.
Sounds like I should double my prices. :-)
