Thanks for all the good advice.  I'll try A&I for Kodachrome 25 first.  I'll
pass on the Velvia as the colors shift too much relative to each other for
my purposes.  Provia F, though, is worth another try.  In 4x5 and 120 sizes
I do get good results with Astia, which I presume is related to Provia.
