The other alternative wcich I prefer is  to use Roscoe filters on my 
studio hot lights. These are cheaper than on camera filters and put 
nothing between you and your image. They do still cut the light but I 
don't think it is as much. They have color corrections for tungstan 
and flourescent as well as LOTS of others.
