I just had a thought on this. How about return address sized labels.
Avery has a "removable" label that could be used. Write the type and
speed on the label and "seal" the camera with the label. Then, you'll
have to remove the label to remove the film. You can then place the
label on the film canister to indicate where/when/what was shot on that
roll.
I may start doing this myself as I just opened my Loreo without checking
the rewind knob to verify whether there was a roll in the camera or
not. I don't have a clue what was on the roll but it's probably not
there any more.
