Pairs of 6x6 images composing a 6x13 view were very common in Europe
going back to the early 1900's. Many cameras were designed for this
format both in B&W glass slides and cards. Early cameras of course
used sheet film or glass plates. The Rolleidoscop is probably one of
the first to use roll film. I have a German EHO box camera which came
with a simple folding viewer for cards. I would probably suggest that
you mount the views in a 6x13 format and try to locate a viewer or
construct your own. Very simple as no prisms are needed. The focal
length should also be about half that of a Holmes viewer which will
make the image appear larger. I often consider 6x13 the ideal format
as cameras can be made with no complicated advance sequence, the lens
spacing is close to eye spacing, film is easily contact printed,
simple viewers etc..
