I use Fuji Velvia and Provia F because the color, in my opinion, is vastly
superior to Kodachrome. I grew up on Kodachrome (literally, as my
grandfather used it exclusively) but my reaction to it now is an immediate
"yuck!". When I view an image I want to be captivated by the image, I
don't want my first thought to be "oh, this is kodachrome".

Very long shelf life would be nice, but if it's yuck to start with, who
needs it?
