When I'm mounting in Spicers with an RBT jig I place the chips face down
on the front side of the mount and place the mount and jig in my red
button before I tape the chips down. That way I can view the final
product and evaluate the cropping before taping things down. Sometime I
do this with two or three different sizes of mounts just to decide on the
best crop. The jig and chips can also be moved around on a light box to
adjust the final crop. I find it very to be very convenient, but I won't
win any speed records for mounting...
