I always shoot in either aperture priority or manual so have
never tried full program or shutter priority. I just tried to
set the lenses to A and it would not work so I guess mine is
the same as yours. Maybe it has to do with the zoom lenses -
or are you saying the camera won't work even with your fixed
lenses set to A?
Not meaning to be smart here, but why would anyone want to
shoot in full program where the camera chooses both aperture
and shutter speed? You need to choose the aperture for the DOF
you want. If that is too slow of a shutter speed (which is
indicated both in the viewfinder and on the top LCD panel)
then you can make the decision on whether or not to open up.
Speaking of little quirks with the X3 - with the camera on
auto and flash attached it chooses a shutter speed of 1/100th.
However if you go to full manual and have to set the shutter
speed you go from 1/60 to 1/90 to 1/125 - no 1/100th???
That's all for now,
