I have the RBT Macro attachment. It uses a 105mm lens on a
bellows that gives approximate magnifications from 1:1 to 1:3.
The inter-lens spacing is selectable at either 6mm or 11mm. I
have found that I use the 11mm exclusively.

No muss, no fuss, no formulas. Just compose and shoot. There
hasn't been an image yet that did not work. This is my opinion
and the opinion of the international stereo judges that have
accepted or awarded medals to those images.

In my opinion the important part of macro stereo is to
restrict the total depth of view so as not to have anything in
the image that is out of the range of the depth of focus. If
you can achieve this, then the stereo base is more a concern
of how much z-axis "stretch" you want in the image. And
because there is no real frame of referrence your brain won't
be fighting with this (how many peole can actually see an ant
at life size?)

That's all for now,
