Each of us has different needs, which is "best" depends upon
those needs. Sounds like you've found your Nirvana!
For folks like me, a Realist may work very well as a
backup camera to the battery'd camera. Is this what you do in
Greece, George? I didn't take a 3D backup in my recent trip to
Hawaii at all.

P.S. - And take spare batteries! In the old windows vs OS/2 wars,
OS/2'ers formatted floppies all day. In 50's camera wars,
nobody with a more modern camera ever takes spare batteries
(which might cost less than a dollar total). Anybody ever
notice this? :-) FWIW, the batteries in my X3 seem to last
forever (using, of course the premium (joke) Kirkland brand!).
But I still take several sets of spares with me. Batteries
in the external Metz flash are the same ones as well and
could be used in a pinch.
