Just curious, have you ever lost anything? Or is this
nervousness just a personality issue? I am asking
because someone like yourself has obviously sent
and received hundreds if not thousands of packages
in the mail by now.
This subject is very important for stereo photographers
because we share our images via mail. I belong to 3
SSA (Stereoscopic Society of America) folios and one
PSA folio where I enter some of my best slides and
have them circulate for an entire year, making 20-25
stops. I also participate in PSA salons and let my
very best slides in the hands of the postal service
about 12 times a year and this includes a couple of
international mailings too. All these mailings
are just first class or air mail. No insurance,
no registration, no delivery confirmation, NOTHING!
As far as I know, I have not lost anything and I
am glad that the fear of losing something has not
stopped me from sharing my stereo images with other
fellow stereo photographers. And if I ever lose
something, that will not be the end of the world.
Everyone is a little bit nervous at first but it
goes away after you have successfully exchanged a
few images. I wonder why you have not overcome
this fear yet...
