Dear Mark Dottle,
I believe you have omitted an important item.
> Right handed Left eye dominate Right Footed
> Left shoe on first Politically leans right
> Anatomy leans left Cross eye preference etc.
See: Savic I, Berglund H:
"Right-nostril Dominance in Discrimination of
Unfamiliar, but Not Familiar, Odours."
Chem Senses 2000 Oct;25(5):517-523.
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov:80/entrez/query.fcgi?cmd=
Retrieve&db=PubMed&list_uids=11015323&dopt=Abstract
>>Seventy-one right-handed healthy subjects (...)
with normal nasal anatomy (...). The overall odour
discrimination performance was superior on the right
side. However, this difference was valid only for
unfamiliar odours, whereas the performance for
familiar odours was symmetrical.<<
This reminds of United States Patent 4,208,098:
"Odor dispensing system for hand-held stereoscopic
viewer and replaceable container therefor."
(June 17, 1980, Inventor: Johnson; Frank, see:
http://www.uspto.gov/patft/helpdb.htm.
Go to boolean, enter terms viewer and odor, in
abstract, all years.)
(patent 3,967,880 of July 6, 1976 is similar)
"For advertising or amusement purposes, a hand-held
stereoscopic viewer is provided with a cavity into
which a container may be inserted and removed. The
cavity is located adjacent the nostrils of a user
of the viewer." Etc.
At that time I have already commented that the
VM-viewer should be equipped with _two_ containers,
for stereosmelling.
