Although I've mentioned this before, I did try a quickie test
of a Pentax beamsplitter in front of a Nikon 950 (now woefully
obsolete) some time ago.  Results  are at

P.S. - Summary: slide bar is MUCH better, but if a hard adapter
       were made, it might be useful for "moving targets" when
       slidebars fail miserably.  Also depends upon what one is
       to use the results for.
