I recently found out that the TDC Vivid was designed as a 7 perf camera and
that only a few mods to the design (like the film loop thing) were done at
the last minute to convert it to 5p which they found was becoming the
standard.
So, now I'm really wondering how hard it would be to convert it back. I
really like this camera a lot, and if it can be turned into a 7p camera it
would be love :)

Any thoughts?

There are three "European" 7p format cameras:
Iloca Original, Belplasca (both German) and Busch Verascope
(French).
