The Realist works the way it was designed to work. Do not fault the
camera because it does not function the way you want it to. If you want
different features, try a different camera. DOUBLE EXPOSURE PREVENTION:
Not a big deal if you pay attention. I have had very few double exposures
with the Realist camera. HOLDING LIKE A REGULAR CAMERA: What does that
mean? The Realist is easy to hold - the rangefinder works very well. Just
keep your fingers out of the way and use DOF to reduce the need for the
rangefinder altogether.
To Sum Up The Realist:
1) Inexpensive to purchase and extremely well made.
2) Lacks many of the features of more modern cameras, but fortunately,
those features are not needed.
3) Extremely good lenses.
4) Just the right weight
5) Readily available and readily repairable
6) Does not need any batteries
7) Seldom breaks down
8) Reliable
9) Does specifically what it is supposed to do and nothing more.
