I don't have the Nu-View (a lot of people on this list do) but I do
have the Wasol version. It doesn't allow you to diverge the
mirrors enough to use it as a "beamsplitter", and I doubt the
Nu-View can either.

But I have tried using the Wasol as an anaglyph video camera. I
took apart the red and blue filters on a pair of anaglyph glasses
and put them on the Wasol videoadapter. I recorded some
anaglyph video and it worked! Admittedly it was very poor but the
3-D was there. This was because I was watching it on a regular
television monitor. Next time I'll trying feeding it directly to my
computer using my TV tuner card.

Many years ago I have tried doing side by side video by attaching
a Pentax beamsplitter in front of my video camera. It worked quite
well (sticking it in front of a digital camera worked fine to).

The beamsplitter you referred to on the http://www.3dquarium.com
site looks very interesting and inexpensive! I checked out the 3-D
side by side videos and they were very good!

P.S. I see they mention they have been issued a Provisional
Patent. Now that is crazy!
