Do not presume, but CHECK that your slides are conveniently mounted.
For that purpose, remove your polarising glasses, and check whether you
actually see all the homologues side-by-side, without any vertical
shift. The same on ALL your slides. The tolerance for a vertical shift
is never more than four millimeters, as measured on the screen, for a
viewer being seated seven feet away from the screen (this is the normal
viewing distance for projected images about one meter high).
Then check the convergence of your projectors. The horizontal deviation
between homologues of objets at the infinite must NEVER be over 2 1/2
inches.
Then check that the stereo window is NEVER behind any object on the
left or right border of your image.
If these conditions are OK, your viewers will never get tired after
your projection, even with a blank between your slides. The simple
projectors let the screen black for a few seconds, this is a minor
drawback. Three thousand dollars beyond, you can fade to black, then to
your next image, with a RBT projector, it is much more pleasant. Is it
worth $3000 ? It is up to you.
You can start to dissolve ONLY after being sure that your mounting is
perfect, vertical shift no more than TWO millimeters on the screen, and
stereo window adjustment as precise as two millimeters on the screen.
This is not for a beginner.
