That's a very good point and not many people realize
how important this factor is, i.e. getting used to a 
certain film's "look".  This explains some people's
reactions when they try their first Fujichrome film
after years of Kodachrome (even, the other way around).

I always like to bring up this letter that was published
a few years ago in Stereo World from the early 
1950s where the Secretary of the Stereoscopic
Society after many years of black and white and
autochromes called the colors of the Kodachrome 10
distorted and "out of this world".  Compared to
autochromes, I understand his reaction.  But many
old timers and stereo slide collectors today think
this was the best slide film ever made!
