Oh my. I am posting this on the general message system rather than sending
you a personal e-mail, as there may be others in the group that are going to
be there as well.

I had not planned on being there as I have seen HOW many, many times.
However I always enjoy meeting other stereographers, and would appreciate
receiving messages from anyone else planning on going this evening. If
enough are going, perhaps I will too.

The first time I saw HOW, was in the original twin-strip form in 1954. Yes,
1954, not 1953. I lived in Duluth Minnesota at the time, and it did not
make it to the local theater (I think it was either the Norstar or the
Granada with their "3-D screen", another story) until 1954.

Anyway, I have also seen it in the single strip StereoVision side-by-side
70mm form, as well as the StereoVision 35mm over-and-under, and the
StereoVision 35mm side-by-side anamorphic versions, the latter of which I
believe they are screening tonight.

I have a program autographed by the late Vincent Price when he appeared in
person at one of the screenings at the Vagabond (!) theater, also here in
Los Angeles. Lots of history to that film. If anyone gets a chance to see
the 70mm version, that one has mag stripes with the original optical
Warnersound Stereophonic sound tracks re-recorded on it (as well as a
larger, sharper, brighter picture).
