Regarding scanning, you should test this (at several different resolutions)
with your own printer. I have found that different printers work better a
one particular scanner resolution than others. Some make better looking
prints from higher resolution scans, and some actually produce better prints
from lower res scans. Find out which combination works best for you by
testing.
