[photo-3d] Bakelite restoration

I could buy a Wollensak stereoviewer in good condition and functioning
well. However this beautiful viewer needs some restoration. A part of
the bakelite (I assume) in one of the corners is missing. You may have a

Is it possible to restore this beautifully and, if so, how can it be
done?
