Oversized .jps images may be printed or "crosseye" viewed on the PC.
Small images are easy and make good previews. The best thing about a
jps image is that it says to your computer "open me as stereo" However,
mime types have to be recognized by the ISP and may otherwise open as
cryptic code unless you use a magic line that reads like:

<embed src="virglks.jpg"type="image/x-jps"width=760height=506
pluginspage="http://www.vrex.com/depthcharge">

This tells a computer that the jpg image should be treated as a jps. It
also sends the person to the download site. If they have already chosen
another viewer for jps they will never see this message.

If you want to make your own page to go to my page and make a copy:

If you use Netscape go to "File" and "Save As" you can make a copy of my
file on your desktop or wherever. Then go to "File" and "Open Page" and
select the file but open it in "Composer" and not "Navigator"
Once the page is open you may edit it to summon your jpg - and make
everyone's computer see the image as a jps. You also get to write some
text and ad links etc.

I like using DepthCharge because I don't have to republish the image for
each viewing format. I sometimes use anaglyphs but I mistakenly saved
mine to work with the blue/red and not red/blue and I have recieved some
objections. At least when I use DepthCharge I don't have to take up web
space with multiple formats. Liquid crystal shuttered glasses are the
way to view jps images on the web. Color anaglyph and gray anaglyph are
options but do not work well with all images. I love color and want as
much resolution as the medium affords. I never shoot with anaglyph in
mind, and by the way, it does not compress well. Interlace does not
compress well either.

Two separate images side by side, right field first, .jpg format = .jps.
Create a jpg RL pair and rename the file from anyname.jpg and call it
anyname.jps. That is all it takes for your files to viewed in any mode.
