[photo-3d] problem with kodaslide viewer

picked up a kodaslide viewer to use with my TDC camera, but see that 
the focus mechanism for the viewer is just a friction strip that has 
compressed under the roller pin with time.  Easy to disassemble but 
what material can I use to replace the friction strip?
