[photo-3d] Re: 3-D flash cartoon,... a mess

I went to look at the 3-D flash cartoon.  It stinks on
so many levels.  Let's skip past the bad story, bad
dialog, bad animation, bad character design, and just
hop right into why it isn't really accurate to call it
a 3-D cartoon.

In some of the shots, there is a flat background that
is "pushed back" a bit using anaglyph, but it is just
flat behind a flat foreground.  Only 2 levels is
hardly 3-D in my book.

No excuses such as it being more difficult to do a
real job of it are good enough.  If you aren't going
to attempt to really do at least 5 or 6 levels of
depth, then what is the point?  The point is probably
just a gimick... So sad that 3-D seems to almost
always be used as nothing but a gimick.  

Oh well, I am preaching to the converted.
