[photo-3d] intro to stereo

My first stereo photography was with a Realist in 1980... when I saw my
first stereo slides (admittedly, Kodak was still doing a decent job at
processing/mounting) (it was a good Realist viewer, also) my head went
throught the roof! I was totally amazed and hooked. I really don't think I
would have been hooked by a split print... I don't like color machine prints
in general, anyway.

An analogy might be as with regular photography: someone could get into it
with a disposable point and shoot, but it ain't gonna be "real"
photography... it's photography lite. Loreo is stereo lite. "Real" stereo
does take some commitment... if people I know want to try it, I try to let
them know that up front.
