I may not have George's extraordinary IQ, but I humbly suggest that the best 
way for any beginner to get involved in stereo is with two cardboard single 
users, taped end to end.  The quality of those plastic lenses is fine for 
prints,  the result is thrilling, and when you want to grow out of it into 
something that better expresses your emerging artistry, you haven't spent 
anything at all on equipment that you regret purchasing.  But a Loreo's not a 
bad second choice for a first foray into stereoland.
