It seems that many of us started with the Cha-Cha method.  I started with
what I called the Side-Step-Stereo in the late '60's.  Back then with
little purchasing power and no experience in photography, the side-step
method was the only way I had to make stereo pictures.  I didn't even
know anything about what stereo cameras were available then or where to
get them.  I didn't know anyone who knew anything about stereo.  But I
knew what I wanted to see imaged.  Cha-Cha has allowed many of us to
start, experiment,  and graduate upwards to real stereo equipment once we
got ourselves into stereo photography.  Cha-Cha is good; still do it from
airplane hypers to hypos of architectural models.
