The Revere is every bit as rugged as the Realist.
It is a well engineered camera about the same weight.
Has a built in level.
It has shutter cocking on film wind.
The winding knob winds in the direction that you would think logical.
Firing the shutter releases the winding knob for another wind.
Double exposure by recocking the shutter if you want it.
Two different 3.5 lenses, Wollensak made in USA and Enna made in
Germany. Both have vigneting at F22 as does the Realist. Both seem
to be just as sharp as those on Realists, maybe sharper.
New old stock replacement lense/shutter assembles are inexpensive and
easy to find.
Both have range finders.
The Revere is as easy to work on as the Realist.
The Revere "equivalent to the Realist f2.8" (IMO much better) is the
Wollensak 10 with F2.7 lenses. (They sell for about twice what a
Realist 2.8 does.)
The only advantages I give to the Realist camera design is the hinged
lens cap and the bottom viewfinder. I also like the Realist case
better because you can take off the top part.

I would feel safe in saying that if the Revere and the Realist had
both been introduced to the public the same day, that the Realist
would be a rare collectors item worth at least ten times what you can
get one for on ebay today.

Of course this is all just my opinion, I am sure there are others.

Chuck

P.S. I own 4 Realists and 4 Reveres and shoot them all.
