This sounds like the same setup I use for my Ricoh point-and-shoot
system. I got the "Y" cable and a straight cable. I cut the straight
cable and put a momentary pushbutton on that, plug in the Y cable, and
connect the two jacks that plug into the cameras. If I ever get inspired,
I'll put diodes in to prevent cross-talk, but it basically works perfectly.
