An important reason is that one thickness of cardboard
is not opaque enough to use as a slide mount.  (One
thickness of plastic is even worse.)

I think our new self-stick mounts* will reduce this second
step to a very minimal level.

* Not yet available for purchase.  :-(
I'm told they have at last landed in the U.S., so I'm
hoping the wait is almost over!
