The aperture size of the 4p Spicer is the same as the 4p RBT.
The difference is that in the RBT the aperture is offset
vertically while the Spicer aperture is centered vertically in
the mask. If you are using the RBT jig to Spicer method you
will not be able to butt the jig up against the mount (or a
straight edge as some people do) and have the chip fit the
mount. What you need to do is float the jig over the apertures
and use either the top or bottom edge of the aperture window
to align the chips. This is the same process that is used when
using a reduced height Spicer mount.
By the way Mark, I think it is great you are offering this
service. On one hand I hope people take advantage of this so
that more images will be taken and seen; on the other hand I
feel sorry for you if they do as you will be spending all your
free time mounting other people's images and have no time for
your own!
That's all for now,
