I made my own viewer with lenses from a number 5 Optivisor. These are 
good quality ground glass lenses of 5 diopters. They can be bought 
from McMaster-Carr for $15 a set. Steve Berezin said he had some 
trouble making a Holmes viewer work with them because the original 
diameter was too small. I don't really understand why this should be, 
but I have no trouble viewing my own digital prints with my homemade 
viewer, which you can see here:
