Actually, Tony knows very well how ebay works!  He is one
of the more active ebay buyers and sellers around.

Why he has not seen the benefits of sniping is what
I don't understand... Oh well... :)

Basically, sellers should dislike sniping.  I think a couple
of sellers even wrote that they will cancel last second
bids (don't know if they ever followed this).  Thank goodness
there are a lot of "innocent" "unspoiled" buyers out there
who don't know or don't bother with sniping.  This makes
things more interesting for sellers.  Otherwise ebay would
be a real drag except for the last 1 minute action.
