[photo-3d] help with scanning software

Hi all.

I'm a stereo photographer who just got my second scanner (1st one I bought
in 1990).  Hope that's sufficient 3d relevance to make it on the list!

I got an Epson 1640su photo, which appears to function well enough, EXCEPT
I hate the twain software you use to control the scanner.  If there is
interest I'll post what I don't like about it (or reply to those of you
currently shopping scanners).

Question: is there alternative software that will run this scanner on my mac?
