As will I. I just got in after three meetings (averaging 6 hours each), and
was saddened to read of Grant's loss. I know the feeling, as my Verascope
f40 was actually stolen from me a couple of months ago. If it ever turns up
anywhere, it is quite identifiable, as it had been modified, and is probably
the only one in existence with a rapid film advance lever, a bubble level
viewable through the viewfinder, and chambers that have been milled at an
angle to prevent internal reflections. I doubt that it will ever turn up,
because the thief probably would have no idea what it was.

Anyway, if Grant knows who the person was (a major advantage), it may be
possible to negotiate something with that person, or as has been suggested
several times use legal means to retrieve it. If we could find out that
person's e-mail address, maybe we could appeal to his conscience by
inundating him with messages from all of us letting him know the special
value this had not only to the true owner (Grant) but to all others who
benefit from enjoying his images as well.
