OK, I'll sign up for the Jonny G fan club too. :-)
Last summer my X4 suffered a shutter blade collapse at the hand of my
nearly deceased nephew. Jon and Consumer Tech replaced the shutter
assembly, and of course, the expensive repair understandably was not
covered by warranty. The camera was not quite right suffering from
intermittent meter failure and a sticky shutter button. The camera was
returned and rushed back to me in perfect operating condition. In fact,
it was better than new!
The left mirror used to flip up as pressure was applied to the shutter
button (for a meter reading.) Now, I can stereo focus and both mirrors
flip when the shutter is fired. The camera is much easier to use, and my
photos are better too. This modification was recommended by Consumer
tech at no cost to me..........it's obvious these folks appreciate
stereo cameras and I have more confidence to purchase other RBT products
in the future.
