One point that I was trying to make was that if a given type of bulb has
a shorter lifspan but is replaced with the same type of bulb each time
it burns out, then sales data will tend to exagerate the prevalence of
that type of bulb in use at any given time.
The bulbs I get from Dr T are indeed 2.5V, 0.83 A (although the box says
0.8 A). -Linda
