Re: [photo-3d] Level for twin rig?

Today John Ladd asked about a level to assist in keeping his twin rig level.
For what its worth, John, I find that it is exactly the same keeping one's
twin rig level as it is when using ANY camera - whether it be a Realist or a
single SLR for instance. Providing that you have shimmed as necessary and
got a good common baseline, simply look through either viewfinder and
concentrate on the image. Just forget that there is a second camera there.
It seems to all revolve around whether one has a good eye for any "out of
level" or "off horizontal" factor in the scene. If there is water or an
actual horizon line in the view, it is pretty easy, really. As with your
old trusty stereo camera, you simply watch this cue and don't allow yourself
to forget about it. If you need a level now, then you must have always
needed it!! At least, that's what I find to be the case. However, when
using a tripod, I do use a small level. Its a nice precaution.
