This is probably one of the situations where a waist level finder does
better than an eye level finder. With my various MF cameras I mount a
bubble level (either on the flash shoe or simply taped to the top of
the Sputnik) so that I can see both the level and the WLF at the same
time. After focusing and composing the shoot I hold still until the
level is centered and then fire the shutter. By the way, my levels
are set up to work in both pitch and roll. I'm really bad at keeping
the camera straight without the level.

I don't think the OM-1 had an interchangeable prism, but other 35mm
SLRs do. Of course it's kind of hard to use a WLF on a 35mm camera
without keeping your eye right on top of the magnifier.
