I assume Bob meant to refer to output to his film recorder, not
to his scanner. My question is for those on the list who output
to film recorders NOT using non-pin registered camera backs, what
is your experience with registration? My only test with a Polaroid
camera back showed that the digital duplicates are NOT registered,
and misaligned both vertically and horizontally. Worse yet, they
are not centered with respect to the slide perforations. This means
that the dupes from the recorder cannot be dropped into Wess pin
registered mounts. In other words, if you want proper alignment,
you must critically remount each duplicate pair! For me, that is
totally unacceptable. I am wondering if anyone has had alignment
success with a non-registered back. Can anyone comment on their
experiences?
