[photo-3d] RBT projector - stereo window demo!

Last night I tested the theory and confirmed that indeed
the first slide must be focused manually and then everything
works fine.

While I was projecting various slides to make sure that
the autofocus works with different mounts, I found the
two slides that I have modified to adjust the stereo
window in projection.

If you remember, I have removed part of the RBT mount
that gives me access to the RBT pin bars. While the
slide is being projected, I can slide the pin bars and
adjust the stereo window while the audience is viewing
the results in real-life projection. Cool!!!

This cannot be done in the TDC projectors (and most
1950s stereo projectors) because the slide is inside
the carrier and cannot be accessed from the top.
But it can be done in a Brackett Dissolver or a Fader
(which is what I used in the 2K NSA convention)

The good news is that it can be done with the RBT too!
(With manual feeding of course). So, here I am,
with a pair of tweezers, adjusting the pins while the
slide is projected. The funny part is that while I am
doing this, and I am pushing the slide a bit back and
forth, I can hear the lenses turning and maintaining
focus!!! I thought that was neat!

So, I will be bringing my RBT projector in Buffalo
for the NSA convention this summer and I will use
it to demonstrate the stereo window in projection.
There are many people who cannot see this in a viewer.
There are people who cannot see it even in the fancy
SAM (stereoactive mounting device). But I don't
think there is any person who cannot see it in projection.
Such a person must be stereo blind!

Gary Nored, see you there!!! :) :) :)
