Of course, this is a great way to demonstrate the stereo 
window, but you've also discovered how to check if your 
auto-focus is functioning properly!

Sometimes, you might think that it's failed if you project a 
mixed show and they're not as sharp as you'd like them to be.

Just drop a slide in between trays and move the top forewards 
and bvackwards.  The motor noise will re-assure you! Unless
there is a fault - or you forgot to switch it on... :-)
