I find the last statement to be odd. Since we're talking about digital
vs. film, I really think that in the immediate here-and-now, film still
delivers better quality than anything digital does (unless you are
stepping up to digital backs on hasselblads - now you have a hasselblad
that competes with 35mm cameras). I think the cheapest disposable camera
is still going to retain more information both in resolution and dynamic
color range than most, if not all, high-dollar digital cameras.

I would love to experiment with a couple of digital cameras, but I can't
afford them at home. I've had opportunity to play with images from the
new hi-def digital cameras that sony & panavision are trotting out to
replace film. They are VERY good, but still below the capabilities of a
well-managed film camera. 

However, the price (in the big picture) of digital over film is
dictating the death of film in my industry.
